Jeff Galinovsky
PPA Master Photographer and Craftsmen – Instructor

Jeff Galinovsky brings a deep-rooted passion for teaching and photography to the MPA admin team, which he recently joined. His journey with a camera began back in 1988, wielding a Minolta Maxxum 7000 as a high schooler, one of the earliest autofocus SLRs. Since then, he’s spent nearly three decades developing his eye and technique, especially in sports, senior and family portraits, corporate branding, and large events.
In 2015, Jeff took a leap, spending 12 days on a photography tour of Scotland with MPA. That experience sparked the launch of Jeff Galinovsky Photography in early 2017. His business quickly took off, earning a reputation across greater Sacramento for dynamic sports senior portraits and standout composites for high school and club teams.
Jeff’s signature is creativity, he’s known for bold, memorable images that connect with athletes and families alike. In 2024, he achieved both the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) and Master of Photography (M.Photog) credentials from PPA, underscoring his dedication to the craft. In 2025 he earned his Craftsmen title also from PPA. Jeff has led the Professional Photographers of Sacramento Valley as President for the past three years and now chairs the PPA Nominating Committee.
With a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo and an MBA from UC Davis, Jeff combines business savvy and technical know-how with his artistic approach. His love for education goes beyond photography—he spent more than a decade as a Senior Faculty member at the Keller Graduate School of Management, teaching MBA students, and over 31 years at Intel Corporation in leadership roles across engineering, marketing, and sales enablement.
After retiring from his corporate career, Jeff now devotes himself full-time to growing his photography business. He also teaches photography and photography business courses at local community colleges, helping the next wave of photographers find their way.
When he’s not behind the camera or in the classroom, Jeff enjoys time with his wife of over 30 years, Lisa—who often helps out at shoots—their two daughters, and their energetic Golden Retrievers, Murphy and Darla.
