This is also a part of the MPA RV Tribe experience! For those that are not aware of the RV Tribe, many McKay clients have travel RV’s and Motorhomes. There is an excellent RV park in Ouray that we stay at.
Don’t have an RV? NO PROBELM? There are beautiful cabins available and several hotels in the area! However, the cabins are excellent!
NEW – Our 2025 itinerary includes an opportunity to ride the famous Silverton Fall Color train. The exact day in the itinerary will depend on schedule of train when announced.
Join lead instructor David McKay on an unforgettable photography adventure through the the magnificent beauty of the Golden Aspen color of the region.
Our small group size (10 photographers, 2 instructors) ensures personalized attention and plenty of shooting time. There is so much to see and photograph in the area. Beautiful golden fall color, old mining historic areas, off the beaten path back-roads , incredible mountain scenery!
*Hiking – This is not a difficult trip. There are no strenuous hikes and most photography can be done easily from the vehicles.
The trip is not confirmed until the deposit is placed. Due to limited space, there are NO EXCEPTIONS to this and it is on a first come first serve basis. Contact us with any questions.

We have RV/ Camp Sites that we are working with at the Ridgeway/Ouray KOA Campground. They ALSO have awesome cabins, a restaurant on site, and more!
Several hotels are VERY close as the campsite is just off the main throughway. Any of the hotels along the main road into town are fine and we can pick you up.
Instructors are scheduled, however, they are subject to change as needed.
