PPA Master Photographer – Instructor

Tonya Carr began pursuing photography at age 15 shooting film and printing in the darkroom for a professional photo lab. She pursued a degree in visual arts before opening her own studio in Northumberland, Pa in 2009. While she provides high-end portraiture for her clients, her passions are macro wildlife and fine art self-portraits.

Her photography has been published and exhibited internationally and have earned her awards like a Master of Photography degree and Platinum metals in Image Competition with Professional Photographers of America in ’22 and ’25, two years of “First in Class” and top 100 ranking with Master Photographers International, and two-time Finalist in the Sienna Creative Photo Awards.

After marrying David Carr, the two combined their talents to form Carr Photography LLC, with plans to grow into corporate events and more. They’re excited to be teaming up, with future McKay Tours and collaborations already in the works.

Limited Edition Collector Prints are also available, but quantities are extremely limited, so don’t hesitate to ask about the images that catch your eye.
