The famous “Going To The Sun” road is only open on average 3 months a year…we are going at that time and therefore, HAVE to book NOW. Otherwise, it is impossible to get accommodations. In fact, currently, hotels are SOLD OUT completely through the summer months.
We have purposely offered this tour for the first time in early September to capture some of the fall skies, cooler temps, and color that come along with the higher elevations!

Our tour is set for early September which is PRIME photography time, and the opportunities to see and photograph wildlife including Mountain Goats, Big Horn Sheep, Bears, Moose and more! It also allows the high probability we will be able to drive and photograph along the “Go To Sun” road through the park.

Accommodations
We have been able to secure the Grouse Mountain resort hotel in Whitefish at the base of Glacier National Park. This is a PRIME location for us to be able to get in and out of the park each day and the location itself is a stunning area.
The room rate will be $239 a night for McKay attendees as opposed to regular rates in the $279 -$359 range. Remember, this is prime season and there is only a small window of time where the Go To Sun road is usually open. We are working to hit that window just right. We can also help you to facilitate a roommate if you like to share expense.
This is also a great place for us to station to be able to get to early morning sunrise shoots! In the evenings, or at dedicated break times, we will have optional time doing image critiques and working on downloading and helping you with your images.
